Golf Lesson - Learning the Back Swing
In a previous article “Golf Lesson - Learning the Back Swing" I discussed my initiation into the game of golf and how I started on the wrong foot by trying to learn from non-professionals. The first portion of that article discussed the proper way to create and proactive the “Takeaway" portion of the back swing and how critical learning this was to the entire game. I also mentioned that when I began to really... (posted by J 3 years 324 days ago.)

Golf Lesson - The Takeaway
When I really began to get serious about learning to play golf I had no idea that the back swing was one of the most (if not THE most) important things to learn. I realized that if this portion of my golf swing wasn't perfect, I would never be able to solve any of my problems. The biggest mistake I made was to watch other amateur golfers to see what they did. I realized very quickly that although some of them hit the ball... (posted by J 3 years 340 days ago.)

The Golf Swing - The No Arms Drill
For some people the golf swing feels uncomfortable and awkward. For those of you who fall into this category you may want to try this drill until you start feeling better (more comfortable) about the golf swing. In a previous article (Golf Basics Part 2), I said you should probably be spending less time thinking about what your arms are doing and where they're going? Once my wrists are cocked, I really don't think... (posted by J 3 years 348 days ago.)

Golf Stress And The Penny Transfer
It's traits like staying cool when everyone else is losing their heads that make the difference from being a good player to becoming a great player. So many people are harder on themselves than they need to be. Constantly berating yourself is a recipe for disaster. The dialog that you hold with yourself is critical to your development as a player and as a person. Self-talk can be encouraging or it can be... (posted by J 3 years 357 days ago.)

The Golf Swing - Driving The Ball
Some think that driving the golf ball is a simple process, it really isn't. Some seasoned golfers just look at driving the ball as a simple process. "Grip it and rip it" is a common phrase you can hear on many tee boxes. However, there are some things you can do to get more distance on your drives. First and foremost, you need to be relaxed when you begin addressing the ball. You must be loose before pulling back the... (posted by J 3 years 359 days ago.)

A Golf Drill For Making Consistent Shots
The only consistent thing about all amateur golfers is their inconsistency. They will play three holes and not hit one good shot. Then they hit thee good shots in a row which inevitably keeps them coming back for more. Hitting consistently is a must in the game of golf. Many players look down the line & let their clubs get too vertical on the downswing. This can be the cause for three unwanted golf... (posted by J 3 years 364 days ago.)
